The well known Disney Star – Coco Lee, dies at the age of 48. She was known for her work in three movies “No Tobacco (2002)”, “Master of Everything (2004)” and “Forever Young (2015)”. Apart from these movies she was well known all over the world for her musical performances, specially for the title song “A Love Before Time” of “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon”.

She was also the famous voice of Mulan in the mandarin version of Disney’s “Mulan”. She sang the song “Reflection” in Mulan which was released in 1998.

Early Life

Born in 1975 and raised in Hongkong till middle school. She moved to San Francisco during her early middlle schooling and high school years. She was amongst the handful few chinese origin artists that made it large in the US.

She was married to a Canadian businessman Bruce Rockowitz.

Career

Coco Lee was a Mando-pop singer, She released music in both Cantonese and English. She also made her mark on the Billboard’s charts with her song “Do You Want My Love”. It reached the no 4 spot in the year 1999.

Fate

Coco was survived by her sisters Carol and Nancy. They informed her fans on social media about the sad news. Coco was going through a tough phase in life, where she suffered from depression. Her condition worsened with time and on July’ 02 2023, she tried to commit suicide at her place. Family rushed her to the hospital, where she remained in coma and eventually passed away.
