UFO Reportings in Australian Skies
On Friday 14th July 2023, a bright light was seen in the Australian skies by many curious onlookers. Some described it as a UFO, other thought it’s a meteorite, but it was actually the Indian mission to the moon Chandrayaan-3. Launched by Indian space agency ISRO from Sriharikota in the southern state of Andhra Pradesh.
The bright blue lights were visible in the night sky from Northern Territory, Queensland and NSW. Onlookers had an amazing 10 minute view of the spacecraft propulsion tearing through the space and heading towards its destination, The Moon. Many Australians were quick on social media platforms with UFO Reportings in Australian Skies.
The Australian Space Technology Company – “Gilmour Space” captured some outstanding shots of the rocket Chandrayaan-3.
The spacecraft will reach moon by 23rd Aug 2023. ISRO uses less powerful rockets compared to the ones used in Apollo and Saturn missions by NASA. NASA mission reached the moon in a matter of days. Whereas, the Indian spacecraft will use the Earth’s gravity to head towards the Moon.
The rocket is carrying an autonomous rover called Vikram, which will scan the surface of the moon and collect scientific data for future studies. If this mission turns out to be a success, it will be another accolade for ISRO which runs on an annual budget that is far less than a Marvel Studios movie.
Kudos and best of luck to ISRO, its team of scientists and the world’s most populous nation.
